Christopher P. Gunn, 31, previously of Walton County, Florida, was indicted
on multiple charges involving the online sextortion and cyberstalking of
young girls ranging in age from 13 to 17 years old. The indictment was announced
by Pamela C. Marsh, United States Attorney for the Northern District of
Florida.
The federal indictment alleges that Gunn, who was recently arrested on
related charges in Alabama, extorted images and videos of minor females in
“various states of undress, naked, and engaging in sexually explicit conduct.”
The indictment also charges that Gunn violated federal cyberstalking statutes by
engaging these females online with the “intent to injure, harass, and cause
substantial emotional distress.” The conduct with which Gunn is charged in the
Northern District of Florida is alleged to have occurred between October 2009
and March 2011. In total, the indictment alleges that Gunn victimized 11 minor
females who resided in various states throughout the nation.
Gunn is currently in custody in Montgomery, Alabama on a federal indictment
that also charges him with the production and possession of child pornography.
If convicted on all charges in the Florida indictment, Gunn faces over 50 years
in federal prison.
This case is being brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide
initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the
growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the United
States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and
Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local
resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit
children and to identify and rescue victims. For more information about Project
Safe Childhood, please visit http://www.justice.gov/psc/.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the
Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United
States Attorney David L. Goldberg. An indictment is merely a formal charge by a
grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until the government proves
their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt to the satisfaction of a jury at trial.
As an American, I have witnessed many events in our nation's history. Some of them great like placing a man on the moon. Some of them were dark and shameful events. No matter what happened, it is the people that make this nation great. Each looking to the future with optimism and looking to improve this nation for all. The United States is a great and wonderful nation and her people are her best asset. As Americans, we need to stand together and let our voices be heard.

Edward Lee Sullivan, of Oakland, Calif., was sentenced today to 300 months in prison for production and possession of child pornography, announced Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division and U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag of the Northern District of California.
Sullivan, 39, was found guilty on Feb. 25, 2011, of one count of producing and one count of possessing child pornography after a 13-day bench trial before U.S. District Court Judge D. Lowell Jensen of the Northern District of California.
Evidence presented at trial showed that during a two-week period in March 2008, Sullivan trained a 14 year-old girl to work for him as a child prostitute. Amarillo School Teacher Accused of Having Sex with 15-Year-Old Boy
Julie Ann Moore, a 34-year-old Sanborn Elementary School third-grade teacher, was released on bond Tuesday after turning herself in on a charge she had sex with a 15-year-old at an Amarillo High football game this fall. The Amarillo Independent School District placed Moore on paid leave shortly after authorities last month seized her iPhone.
Moore could face punishment for sexual assault of a child which is a second-degree felony punishable by two to twenty years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
According to the police, an investigation was launched last November after Moore was seen by a Texas ranger acting suspiciously with a young boy at an Amarillo High School football game.
Investigators said that Moore invited the boy to her car during the game's half-time show and showed him a box of condoms in the car's center console.
Moore then allegedly drove the boy to a nearby apartment complex parking lot where the two had sex in the back seat of her car. The pair then returned to the school in time to watch the second half of the football game.
The student told police that he and Moore had exchanged dozens of sexually explicit text messages and inevitably had sex on three separate occasions.
His parents voluntarily surrendered the boy's cell phone and two computers to police for forensic analysis.
Although the arrest report centers on one victim who Moore allegedly had sex with, investigators listed three 15-year-old boys Moore was allegedly sexting with.
In November, Texas Rangers served a search warrant at Moore's home, seizing several electronic devices including a laptop computer, USB flash drives and an AT&T SIM card.
