Time to Clean House, America!

America, it is time to clean house and get things in order. With the Presidential election coming up this year, it is time that we take back our government.

I call on all patriots of this great nation to vote out all of the incumbents who have failed their promises of being good stewards of our money and smaller, less-intrusive government.

Each year, I hear the same thing over and over. Why can't our elected officials do this or why can't they do that. I will tell you why, fellow patriot. Because they do not care about anything except for one thing, their re-election.

Think about it. Once they have been elected, most turn it into a career and they enjoy the power that they have. They no longer act as our servants. They expect us to be theirs.

It is time we do something about it. Each election cycle, we do the same thing. We just simply vote them back into office and we expect things to change. If you honestly believe that we get a different outcome by doing the same thing over and over, then be my guest. Continue to re-elect these people back and stop whining. Remember, they are counting on you to act mindlessly and vote them back into office so they can enjoy the fruits of OUR labor. More taxes. More government. Less accountability.

Look for candidates who will not be swayed by lobbyists. Look for candidates who will listen to the people. Look for the candidates who want a smaller, less-intrusive government. Look for the candidates who will act as stewards of our tax money. If that candidate is elected, he or she is our servant and is to do what is needed to keep our nation strong.

Fliers offering $40 worth of free medical-grade marijuana were reportedly passed out in Eagle Rock to try and draw residents to vote in the local election.

Santorum to Take Louisiana

With nearly a 2-1 margin over Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum will win Louisiana. 60% of the vote is in and Santorum leads Romney with nearly a majority of the vote.

Will this be another boost to the Santorum campaign and will once again have people donating to him to fill his campaign coffers? Time will tell if voters will see Santorum as a good alternative to Romney and a formidable opponent to Obama.

Who's Out of Touch with Average Middle-Class Americans?

Last night, Vice President Joe Biden attended a $10,000 per couple fundraiser at the home of Senator John Kerry in Georgetown. As the 87 wealthy Democrats dined on grass-fed NY strip steaks and white truffle mashed potatos, they listened to Biden go on and on about how the Republicans are so out of touch with the average middle-class American.

“These guys don’t have a sense of the average folks out there,” Biden said, “They don’t know what it means to be middle class.”

Democrats Grow Confident that They will Regain Control of the House

According to Steve Israel, the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Tuesday, the Democrats have "gone from a gale force wind" to a "sustained breeze" against them.

Democrats are optimistic that they will regain the House of Representatives in the November election. They would need to capture 25 seats to take back the House from Republican control. Although most analysts see on 5 to 10 seats returning to Democratic control, the Democrats are still optimistic.

What has happened since the 2010 election which swept in the Republicans? The economy has slightly improved. Tea Partiers may also feel that the Republican members sent to Congress are not living up to their promise. Fiscal conservatism has gone out the window and Republicans have not held their ground on many of the spending issues.

Instead of holding firm on spending cuts, Republicans have compromised themselves into a corner.

Americans' Satisfaction Almost as Low as It was Under Carter

The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy released its 2012 outlook and it is not very good for President Obama. Only 22% of Americans are satisfied with the current state of affairs. The satisfaction numbers are close to those of George H. W. Bush at 21% and Jimmy Carter's at 19 percent. Both Bush and Carter lost their bid for re-election as President of the United States.

Is Obama on course for being a one-term president? If his numbers do not improve dramatically, he may be set to be one. With gas prices climbing and oil at $106 per barrel, the American public may decide enough is enough.

Rick Santorum on Income Inequality

In a speech given in Detroit on Thursday, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum had this to say about income inequality.

“I’m not about equality of result when it comes to income inequality. There is income inequality in America. There always has been and, hopefully, and I do say that, there always will be.”

Many in the media are upset with Santorum's words and believe that he does not understand the dynamics of the economy.

Santorum does have a very accurate view of the economy and capitalism. Because of income inequality, people are motivated to do more in order to make more. Those who say that the system is broken point to the days of the robber barons and how people were exploited by the likes of Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, JP Morgan and Cornelius Vanderbilt.

However, those in the media who once praised individuals like Steve Jobs are now condemning him over the working conditions is Chinese factories and how the workers there are being exploited.

In the US, if a person does not like what he is doing or how he is being treated, he can quit and find another job. Capitalism allows people the opportunity to make something of themselves. You do not see that type of freedom in Communist countries.

Income inequality drives people to better themselves so that they can move up. Liberal media tells a distorted story of how no one can get ahead and that people are doomed. This distorted story is caused by one thing, a government that wants to regulate ALL aspects of our lives.

Look at what is happening in South Carolina. Two students had their lunches confiscated by a federal bureaucrat that is probably making a nice hefty salary for inspecting children's lunches.

When the government gets involved and starts changing rules and adding more regulations, it just makes things worse.

Santorum is absolutely correct. Income inequality is a good thing. Government just needs to get out of the way and allow the system to work as it was intended.

Cain Reassessing His Presidential Campaign

A day after Ginger White came forward to tell her story regarding a 13-year affair with Herman Cain, Cain announced to his staff that he will be reassessing his campaign according to one of his aides.

Cain announced, in a Tuesday morning conference call with his staff, that he will be making a decision on whether or not he will continue his run for the Republican nomination in the next couple of days.

Considering that there is five weeks until the Iowa caucuses, Cain acknowledged that the latest accusation will be more difficult to overcome.

NEW YORK -- Despite sweeping Democratic successes in the past two national elections, continuing job losses and President Barack Obama's slipping support could lead to double-digit losses for the party in next year's congressional races and may even threaten their House control.
Fifty-four new Democrats were swept into the House in 2006 and 2008, helping the party claim a decisive majority as voters soured on a Republican president and embraced Obama's message of hope and change. Many of the new Democrats are in districts carried by Republican John McCain in last year's presidential contest; others are in traditional swing districts that have proved tough for either party to hold.

I knew this would happen. If the Republicans want to get back in the good graces of the American people, they need to remain true to their ideology.

1. Small government: Reduce the government's footprint and its desire to worm its way into the lives of Americans.
2. Fiscal responsibility: Don't spend like drunken sailors. Reduce the waste in government.
3. Be responsive to the people: Listen to the people. Don't tell them what they should think and tell them that only elected officials know what's best. This is the big one for most voters. Politicians have been acting like they are not working for us. BIG MISTAKE! If our leaders believe that they don't need to listen to us, we get their attention by voting them out of office.
