There are times when I become so negative in my blog entries and I sometimes miss the silver linings in the news. Well, I found a silver lining with IBM. Big Blue is opening up a new support center in Dubuque, Iowa, and will be employing 1,300 people.
I salute IBM for its efforts to create jobs for the America workforce. I'm sure they could have saved some money by sending the jobs overseas. But, they chose to keep them here in the US and take a stand. GOOD FOR YOU, IBM!
If more companies would do the same, we can get out of this economic mess and forge a brighter future for our children. It will take the efforts of all, companies and individuals, pulling together.
