Flash Mob Shoplifts at 7-Eleven in Maryland

Shoplifting flash mobs have become more and more prevalent. The size and frequencies of these types of flash mobs are growing larger and happening more often.

Approximately 50 people came into a Silver Spring, Maryland, 7-11 Saturday night and began to simultaneously shoplift. The shoplifters were described as teens and young adults. According to the police report, they primarily took snacks and drinks.

When police arrived, they saw individuals milling around the parking lot and side streets. After seeing the police, the group immediately dispersed.
