"Occupy Wall Street" Protesters Target Black Friday

In order to protest against retailers who are in the pockets of Wall Street, "Occupy Wall Street" protesters plan on demonstrating in front of retailers this Friday.

The Friday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, is the traditional start of the Christmas shopping holiday and is the day when merchants make a majority of their sales. The term comes from an accounting phrase of being "back in the black" or profitable.

Protesters have put up a website and are organizing their protests. They have also identified publicly-traded retailers on their blacklist. The goal of the "Occupy Black Friday" is to disrupt shopping in order to "rattle Wall Street".
