Tuberculosis Shows Up at "Occupy Atlanta" Protest

Fulton County Health Department confirmed on Wednesday that the residents of a homeless shelter where protesters are staying are testing positive for a drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis. Since TB can be transmitted through the air, homeless people and protesters alike may contract this infection.

Over the past three months, there have been to confirmed cases of TB at the shelter with one of the cases having a drug-resistant strain.
