The Chinese could play a significant role in the bailout of the Euro zone by contributing to its economic rescue fund. The question is to what extent will they play.
There, of course, will be conditions that will need to be met prior to the Chinese providing money to the bailout fund. The Chinese may elect to contribute to the fund using their own currency and expect repayment in their own currency which would increase its value.
