Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee Discusses US Loan to Fisker Automotive

The Department of Energy loaned $529 million to a Finland's Fisker to build an electric sport car that costs $97,000 that can go only 32 miles on its electrical system before switching over to its turbo-charged GAS engine. The car, Karma, only gets 19 miles to the gallon. That is worse than most SUVs.

The American public was told that American jobs would be created. It did not happen. Hundreds of jobs were created in Finland. According Fisker Automotive, they could not find an American manufacturer for the vehicle. A vehicle that costs more than three SUVs and get worse gas mileage.

Also, one more important point that seems to go unnoticed. Fisker Automotive is backed by Al Gore.
