Commerce Department's Dirty Little Funding Secret

There is a little known organization called the Economic Development Administration which is inside the Commerce Department and it funds programs of significant value to the public.

Here's a list of some of those great EDA projects that the US taxpayers are funding.

1. $2 million for the Harry Reid Research and Technology Park. Yes, a monument to Senator Harry Reid.
2. $52 million for Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a convention center with the EDA covering most of the cost.
3. $2 million for a “culinary amphitheater” and wine tasting room in Richland, Washington.
4. $1.4 million for a new plant for Essar Steel Minnesota

Who needs a legislative bill with pork when you have little known organization just ready to throw cash at any pet project.
